Jr./Sr. Schedule Notes: 

Visiting Team is listed 1st on schedule.  Home Team is listed 2nd.  Home team occupies the dugout on the 1st base side of the field.  Except for Opening Day and Night Games, Jr. games begin at 6 PM and Sr. games begin at 6:30 PM.  All girls should be at the Opening Day ceremonies that begin at 12:00 noon.  Jr. Division "Night" Games begin at 7pm.  Opening Day Senior Division Games begin at 1:30pm.  There is a 15 minute "grace" period after the scheduled start time for Jr./Sr. games.  After that time, if a team does not have the required number of players (8 players for Jr./Sr. division), the game will be forefeited.  All games are played on the field as noted unless the Player Agent approves a change.  If an umpire does not show up by the start of the game, please contact your player agent immediately.  All girls are REQUIRED to wear SGSA uniforms for every game.  The only exception is for girls on a school team & they are permitted to wear their school uniform if they are coming directly from a school game/practice.  Failure to wear an issued uniform may result in a game being forefeited.  Minimum # of innings for a game to be "official" =Jr. Division-4, Sr. Division-5.  The umpire determines when play is to be stopped due to weather or darkness.  Maximum # of runs per inning-Jr. Division=4, last inning unlimited.  Sr. Division =5, last inning=unlimited.  No new inning may be started after 2 hours in Jr. and Sr. Divisions.  Only a player agent may reschedule a game.  Girls arriving late are placed at the end of the batting order only.  There must be at least 4 girls in the outfield(if a team can field the max of 10 players) until the ball is hit.Girls must play at least 3 innings in the field.  ASA International Tie Breaker is in effect for one additional inning only if games tied at the end of regulation. 

Mercy Rule:  JUNIOR DIVISION - The Game is over if one team is leading by at least:  15 runs after four innings or 10 runs after five innings.

Mercy Rule:  SENIOR DIVISION - The Game is over if one team is leading by at least:  12 runs after four innings or 10 runs after five innings or 8 runs after 6 innings.

Pitching Rule:  Varsity pitchers are not permitted to pitch in SGSA games.  A Varsity pitcher is defined as a girl who has pitched at least 7 innings in a varsity season.  Girls who pitch for J.V. and traveling teams, are permitted 2 innings per game, not the last 2 innings.
