Volunteers

Welcome to Stafford Girls Softball. Our program has developed immensely in the past 10 years. We have gone from a league consisting of a few teams with less then 100 girls to having between 30-35 teams and over 400 girls now. We have gone from 2 small fields to a complex consisting of 8 softball fields with 2 fields having lights. We have also developed the Stafford Stingray traveling team program. With this being said, the growth and expansion of the league has inevitably led to an increase in jobs and responsibilities.

Over the years there have been key people who have devoted much of their time and effort to make sure that your daughters have enjoyed a safe, and most enjoyable softball experience. Many of these people have been associated with SGSA since its inception and their daughters have since graduated from their

Softball experience. For some, their work is complete and it is time for them to move on to other things in their life as well. Their tireless efforts and input and presence will be greatly missed. They have been instrumental in making the SGSA the great league it is today and we thank them for all of their hard work and commitment to the girls.

In order to keep this league running as smoothly as it does and continue the tradition of SGSA we need your help. We have many key positions on the Executive Board that will be vacated as of Sept.08. These positions and many more volunteers are needed to keep SGSA alive. We need for people to come forth and volunteer their time. Your daughters will be the ones who will benefit from the time and energy you put in. The league cannot run on its own . It needs people who are committed to helping the girls of Stafford Township have an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful experience being part of a team and enjoying the game of softball.

No matter what age level your daughter may be at, its never too early or too late to step up and volunteer. We strongly encourage all parents and or guardians to consider what SGSA would be like without all its volunteers. Please consider volunteering your time for the girls.

For more information on how to become a volunteer and or a member of the Executive Board, log on to our web site STAFFORDGIRLSSOFTBALL.COM and click on the word BYLAWS where you will find a description of each board member’s position and responsibilities. REMEMBER: THE GIRLS NEED YOU!!

Thank-you for your time
